About Hartland Homes
Hartland Homes is a custom home builder based in Munfordville, Kentucky, proudly serving families throughout Central Kentucky. Amish owned and founded in 2021, the company is led by Bob Kuhns and Jon Fisher, a partnership built on decades of experience, shared values, and a commitment to doing things the right way.
Combined, the Hartland Homes team brings more than 60 years of experience in the construction industry. Bob has worked in construction since “I was big enough to hold a hammer,” with hands-on experience across residential and commercial projects. Jon’s specialty is framing—the structural backbone of every home: “Structure is the main foundation of the home. I’ve been doing this all my life and I make sure it’s done A1.” Our complementary skill sets make us a strong team, ensuring each home is built with care from the ground up.
At Hartland Homes, quality is non-negotiable. “I want to make sure we build quality homes, so the customer doesn’t need us to come back and fix things,” says Bob. Clients can trust Hartland Homes to do what’s right—no shortcuts, no faulty materials, and no cutting corners. Just honest work and solid craftsmanship. We also believe in a face-to-face approach, taking the time to sit down with clients, listen closely, and build real relationships throughout the process.
Hartland Homes is a God-focused business, guided by faith, integrity, and responsibility. Our mission is to honor God by treating people fairly, building with purpose, and delivering quality homes that families can depend on for generations.
Custom Homes
Since 2021, Hartland Homes has built more than 40 custom homes across Central Kentucky, from Munfordville to Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, and communities along the I-65 corridor. We build single-family homes, multi-generational homes, barndominiums, shop homes, and outbuildings—each one designed around the way our clients live. Homeowners can bring their own plans or work with our Illustrative Design team, selecting every detail inside and out. All homes are built to Kentucky codes and include a one-year builder’s warranty, giving our clients confidence from the ground up.
Mission Statement
At Hartland Homes, our mission is to honor God in all we do by building quality homes with integrity, honesty, and care. We are committed to doing what’s right, treating our clients fairly, and serving our community with workmanship and values that stand the test of time.
