A Clear, Honest Building Process—Designed Around You
At Hartland Homes, we believe building a home should be an exciting and meaningful experience, not a stressful one. That’s why we follow a clear, straightforward building process focused on communication, quality, and transparency from start to finish.
From our first face-to-face conversation through the final walk-through, we keep you informed at every stage of the build. Our goal is to provide a smooth, well-organized experience while delivering a quality-built home you can feel confident in for years to come.
Our Process
1
Free Consultation
We begin with a no-obligation meeting or phone call to learn about your vision, lifestyle needs, timeline, and budget. This conversation helps us understand what’s most important to you and determine the best path forward for your project.
2
Concept Agreement
Using information from the initial consultation, we develop a basic project concept that outlines overall goals, early design ideas, and preliminary cost ranges. This step ensures clear expectations before moving into detailed planning and design.
3
Blueprint Design & Selections
We create detailed construction plans and collaborate with you on finishes, fixtures, and design details. If you already have plans, we’re happy to work with them. A final scope and detailed cost estimate are provided before construction begins.
4
Construction Contract
Once plans and pricing are approved, we prepare a formal construction contract outlining scope, timelines, costs, and project terms. This agreement ensures alignment and clarity so construction can begin with confidence and no surprises.
5
Construction
Our experienced team manages every phase of construction, coordinating schedules, trade partners, and quality control throughout the build. We provide regular updates and remain available to answer questions, ensuring a smooth and organized process.
6
Final Walkthrough & Handover
After construction is complete, we conduct a detailed walkthrough to review the home and address any final items. We provide warranty information and documentation, then complete the handover—welcoming you into your new home.
